Pharmacy2U’s History
Founded in 1999, Pharmacy2U was awarded the NHS contract in 2001 to pilot the electronic processing of prescriptions across England. Now known as the Electronic Prescription Service, or EPS, over 95% of NHS prescriptions are processed electronically. Today, Pharmacy2U dispenses and delivers around 1.6 Million NHS repeat prescription items every month to patients’ homes across the UK.

Over 600 team members make up Pharmacy2U. Based across a head office and dispensing facility in Yorkshire, and a dispensing facility in Leicestershire, Pharmacy2U colleagues bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the company’s clinical, logistics, customer support, and core functions. The business is led by a senior leadership team whose mission is to make digital healthcare more accessible and convenient for all who need it.
Pharmacy2U and its Partners
Pharmacy2U is a trusted partner of the NHS, dispensing and delivering repeat prescriptions as well as providing a range of NHS services including Pharmacy First and the Pharmacy Contraception Service. Royal Mail is another key partner of Pharmacy2U, ensuring prescription items are delivered safely and reliably up and down the country. Asda has now partnered with Pharmacy2U to fulfill its customers’ prescriptions, offering increased choice, convenience, and flexibility when it comes to collection and delivery.
