<p>SECTION_START: Overview</p> <h3>What are Buccastem M Buccal Tablets</h3><p>Buccastem M Buccal Tablets Help to reduce the symptoms of nausea at the first sign of a migraine attack. They dissolve slowly when placed on the gums providing long lasting relief from vomiting and nausea, related to migraines for up to 12 hours. Buccastem M Buccal Tablets contain the active ingredient prochlorperazine, which is a type of medicine called a phenothiazine. The tablet will soften and adhere to the gum, taking, for example, between 1 and 2 hours to dissolve completely.</li><li>Most people find that after a few minutes they no longer notice the tablet. The tablet should not be moved about the mouth with the tongue as this will cause it to dissolve more quickly.</li><li>If two tablets are required, the second tablet should be placed on the top gum adjacent to the firsttablet, but not on top of it. The tablets is best taken after meals. Do not chew or swallow the tablet.</li><li>If you wear dentures, the tablets may be placed in any comfortable position between lip and gum.</li><li>If you forget to take a dose it is not necessary to double the dose next time. If you experience any of the following, stop using the medicine and seek immediate medical help:</b></p><ul><li>Side-effects that may occur with Buccastem M Tablets are drowsiness, dizziness, dry mouth, inability to sleep insomnia, agitation, mild skin reactions and low blood pressure, particularly in elderly or dehydrated patients this makes you feel dizzy or faint, particularly when you stand up.</li><li>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any undesirable effect after using this product.</li></ul><p>SECTION_END: Warnings</p>
